With the exhaust housings for Garrett turbochargers, you can assemble the charger yourself according to your ideas. This is useful if you want to adapt the charger for a different displacement with different A / R values, for example. Housings with other flanges can also be mounted. The exhaust housing can be easily removed by loosening the V-band clamp.
Correctly determine A/R value:
The A/R value determines the exhaust gas throughput of the exhaust housing and is therefore decisive for the performance of the turbocharger and engine. Basically, the lower the A/R value, the earlier the turbocharger responds, but on the other hand the exhaust backpressure increases, and the maximum output decreases.
