BC Racing's latest ZR Series Coilovers introduce an innovative 3-way adjustable coilover system designed for the racing community, catering to enthusiasts ranging from novice drivers to seasoned professionals—all at an unprecedented price in the performance suspension market. Each ZR Series Coilover system provides individual adjustment capabilities for both low speed and high-speed compression, along with a separate rebound adjustment feature. Additionally, these coilovers offer complete height adjustability, independent of piston travel and spring preload.
For vehicles equipped with McPherson struts, the ZR Series includes an inverted monotube damper featuring a steel-braided Teflon-coated line exiting from the top of the damper to external reservoirs. These reservoirs can be conveniently mounted in the engine bay or trunk. The ZR Series kits boast 30 clicks of rebound adjustment, 20 clicks for low-speed compression adjustment, and 12 clicks for high-speed compression adjustment, providing drivers with unparalleled control and customization options for their suspension setup

| Coilovers use a locking collar to prevent the bottom mount from loosening. If the bottom mount becomes loose, the damper body can slip downward, lowering ride height on one corner—causing unsafe handling. This is a common issue among coilovers in general. BC Racing addresses it with a patented lower locking collar featuring a beveled edge that locks into a matching bevel in the bottom mount. This design increases contact surface area, drastically improving reliability and eliminating the risk of the collar working loose. |

| During aggressive driving—such as track use or bumpy high-speed roads—oil inside the damper can aerate and cavitate, creating foam that reduces viscosity and weakens damping performance. While quality oil helps, BC Racing goes further by pressurizing the dampers with nitrogen. The nitrogen applies constant pressure to a floating piston, reducing aeration and maintaining damping consistency. It also adds a small amount of effective spring rate, further boosting performance and stability. |
When springs compress, they twist and create tension against their seats. If not properly managed, this stiction can cause spring binding, increased wear, and even loosening of the spring platform and locking collars—leading to uneven ride height or spring dislocation.
