The adjustable lower spring platform of BC Racing coilovers offers the flexibility to fine-tune the vehicle's setup for corner weighting, achieving an optimal balance and maximizing tire efficiency. For peak performance, equal weight must be distributed across each axle—both front tires and both rear tires. This ensures balanced cornering, better grip, and quicker lap times. Optional assister springs allow precise droop adjustment within the unit to meet specific setup needs.	Ride height is set by adjusting the position of the bottom mount along the damper body. This allows a wide range of height options without affecting spring preload. Because the height is adjusted independently of the spring perch, the coilover retains full damper travel no matter the ride height—ensuring consistent performance across all settings.	The V1 coilovers offer 30 levels of damping adjustment through a single knob that controls both rebound and compression. This user-friendly design allows for quick tuning to suit various driving conditions. Adjusting the damping balance between front and rear lets you fine-tune handling behavior—for example, more rear damping promotes oversteer for sharper cornering dynamics.

Pillowball (Rose Joint) Upper Mount	Camber Adjustment	Corrosion Protection
Many BC Racing coilovers come equipped with pillowball upper mounts, made from anodized and bead-blasted aluminium alloy for a premium, durable finish. These Japanese-manufactured pillowballs eliminate the flex and play found in rubber mounts, delivering sharper steering response, improved chassis feedback, and enhanced overall suspension performance.	When camber adjustment is possible on your vehicle, BC Racing coilovers include camber-adjustable aluminium pillowball top mounts as standard. These use the same high-quality Japanese pillowball but add the ability to fine-tune camber for your setup—whether it’s for road comfort, aggressive track use, or dialed-in drift alignment.	The damper bodies are built from black-chromed steel to withstand harsh conditions, including European winters. Aluminium components (top mounts and locking collars) are anodized, and steel lower mounts receive an electrophoretic treatment followed by powder coating. To ensure long-term resistance, BC Racing performs monthly salt spray testing on random steel components like dampers, brackets, and screws—verifying they meet the highest corrosion resistance standards.

Patented Concave Lower Locking Collar	High Quality Coil Springs	High Quality Oil
Coilovers rely on a locking collar to keep the bottom mount secured. If the mount loosens, the damper body can slip downward, lowering ride height on one corner and compromising vehicle safety—a common issue in many coilovers. BC Racing addresses this with a patented concave lower locking collar featuring a beveled edge that locks into a matching bevel in the bottom mount. This design dramatically increases surface contact and effectively prevents the collar from working loose under load.	BC Racing coilovers use only premium SAE9254 high-tensile cold-wound steel for spring production. These springs are engineered for durability and consistency, withstanding over 500,000 compression cycles with less than 5% deformation—ensuring long-lasting performance and reliable response throughout their lifespan.	To maintain consistent damping performance and long-term reliability, BC Racing uses only high-grade oil that resists breakdown and degradation. This ensures stable damping whether you're carving mountain roads or hammering laps on track. Paired with a precision-engineered shim stack design, the dampers maintain effective control over rebound and compression, even under extreme conditions.

Nitrogen Pressurised Dampers	Bearing Mounted Upper Spring Platform	Optional Upgrades
Under intense conditions like track use or bumpy high-speed roads, dampers can experience oil aeration and cavitation, reducing damping effectiveness. BC Racing combats this by pressurizing the dampers with nitrogen, which exerts force on a floating piston. This minimizes foaming, maintains oil viscosity, and improves overall damping consistency. The added pressure also contributes a small amount of effective spring rate, further enhancing performance.	As the spring compresses, it twists slightly, generating tension between the spring and its seats. If not relieved, this causes binding, uneven spring rates, and even loosening of the platform or locking collars—leading to ride height issues or spring dislocation. It also increases steering friction as the spring turns with the wheels. BC Racing addresses this with a bearing-mounted upper spring platform that significantly reduces stiction, improving both suspension operation and steering response.	Damper adjusting extenders: Quick-install extenders (110mm, 200mm, 250mm) make rear damping adjustments hassle-free without removing interior panels. Assister spring perch: Lets you run additional droop or customize ride behavior using smaller assister springs, available in various rates. Pillowball top mount: Available as an upgrade for models with rubber mounts, this option removes unwanted flex and enhances handling sharpness for a more focused driving experience.
